Privacy Policy

Dr. Khaled Elamir Clinic ("the clinic", "we") provides bariatric and general surgical care and operates this website and patient app. We are the controller of the personal data described below.

Account details: your name, email address and phone number.

Health data you enter: weight and height, BMI, surgery date, symptoms, medications and doses, water intake, weekly check-in answers, and progress notes.

Files you upload: investigation and laboratory reports, and progress photographs.

Appointment and attendance records, including clinic check-ins.

Technical data needed to run the app: a session cookie, and — only if you turn notifications on — a device token used to deliver reminders.

To provide your clinical care and follow-up, to show you your own progress, to manage appointments, and to send reminders you have asked for. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.

Your records are visible to you and to the clinic’s treating and administrative staff. Other patients can never see them. Before-and-after photographs are published only where you have given separate written consent, and that consent can be withdrawn at any time.

We use service providers to run the app: Google Firebase (authentication and database) and Cloudflare R2 (file storage). They process data on our instructions in order to provide these services.

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings in the app. This erases your profile, your health entries, your uploaded files and photographs, your appointment records and your notification tokens. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone. Note that where law or medical record-keeping obligations require the clinic to retain a separate clinical record, that record is kept outside this app.

You may ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can change your mind about notifications at any time in Settings, or in your device settings.

Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to your records requires you to sign in, and staff access is limited to authorised clinic accounts. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not share your password or your clinic QR code.

This app is intended for patients aged 18 and over. Minors are treated at the clinic under a parent or guardian, not through a self-service account.
